A self-portrait of the artist at the bottom of the world. The photograph records an action made on the ice-shelf of Antarctica at the British Antarctic research station: ‘Halley’. The experience of 24 hours of sunlight, in a world of complete ‘white-out’ and ‘nothingness’ led to this attempt to express the confusion and disorientation felt someone displaced into an alien realm.
