Re-enactment for a Future Scenario no.2: Cape Romano

A figure is stranded on the half-submerged ruins of a futuristic ‘Dome Home’ off the coast of Florida. Haunted by memories of the former dwelling, the figure seems to be caught in a strange dream. A memory from a future that never quite happened.

The film was shot in the ruins of a luxury residence built by a former oil engineer on a small sand-spit just south of Cape Romano on the west coat of Florida. The concrete house built on stilts was constructed in 1982 and was designed to withstand hurricanes. It was wrecked, however, by Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and subsequent hurricanes have since swept away all traces of the structure and the small islet it stood on.
