A meandering discursive essay telling 13 tales of things below the surface of the sea – scientific curiosities, myths and legends of the deep and the strange politics of the ocean floor.
The lecture was given in 2018 amongst the giant fish tanks of Berlin Zoo’s Aquarium and later that year amongst the stuffed whales and dolphins of Gothenburg’s Natural History Museum in Sweden. The lecture was first performed in 2014 as part of the Brighton Photo Biennial (very bad video documentation below) and at the B-Side multimedia festival in Portland, UK.
