Tinged with the melancholy of failure, Escape Vehicle no.2 consists of a miniature chair made from spent matches, powered by three dead blue bottles that hover above it and are attached with fuse wire. The device invites the viewer to imagine occupancy of the seat whilst at the same time acknowledging that it is incapable of the pronouncement made within its title.
