Drone

Drone consisted of a swarm of small devices that traced ellipses of light as it span through the darkened space. One could just hear the tiny whine of each motor and propeller changing in pitch as it passed by and catch a brief glimpse of each crudely made device.

The units were powered by small battery packs that inevitably, slowly ran down. Through time, the light dimmed and the Drones' circular paths gradually diminished until they were left hanging in space, barely moving. Finally, the power supply spent, the light was extinguished and the motor came to a halt. As the exhibition continued, battery packs were periodically replenished and the floor slowly filled with the spent batteries.
